REL Pacific's new study on Palau Community College education students' graduation patterns

REL Pacific examined graduation patterns of teacher education students at Palau Community College to support teacher training and recruitment efforts in Palau. The study found the overall graduation times to be at least 2.6 academic years and that there were differences based on the students'' majors, organizational affiliations, and whether students had prior college experience. The results are shared in an infographic that is available in both Palauan and English, and an accompanying technical memo. » More info

A Look at Barriers to Participation for Spanish-Speaking Parents: 2019

A new Data point using National Household Education Survey data shows that Spanish-speaking families or enrolled students reported barriers to participating in school activities due to language, though many were provided language services. » More info

Review of Tier 2 Literacy Interventions in the Northern Mariana Islands

REL Pacific conducted a systematic review of Tier 2 literacy interventions for students in grades K–3, including interventions currently used by the Public School System in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. The Evidence and Gap Map identifies which interventions have positive findings from rigorous research. The aim of this report is to provide support for selecting appropriate Tier 2 literacy interventions and strategies for implementation. » More info
